MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. The year after Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and also released ADN as his debut full-length album. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked it at number 8. In the following year, he joined Ozuna for his Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He released Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album the year following. In 2021, he appeared on a duet TINI on her most streamed single Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the smash hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was born into a family of musicians both his parents have been musicians. In his interviews, he's described participating in music as compulsory. He began playing the guitar, saxophone the ukulele and piano when he was an infant. While his initial career goal was to be veterinarian, his brother Julian encouraged him to start learning to sing with the Cuban. The lessons revolutionized his entire life.
