Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit, an Indian actress who is famous for her role in Hum Aapke Hing Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is one of the most well-known Indian actors. The actress was initially famous for the role she played in the 1980s film Tezaab, in which she co-starred along with an established actor Anil Koopor. Next, she appeared with Aamir as part of Dil. In the beginning, as a child growing up in Mumbai's middle-class, she learned to dance. When she was a teen she started acting, and was a victim for a few years because most of her films at first were unsuccessful. She found fame and became one of India's leading film actresses. Following her wedding, she took some time off from acting prior to returning. Recenty, she had a major performance as a character in Gulaab Gang. The film focused on the struggles of women across India. Dixit has been nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she took home eight. She was also honored with the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honour in India. In addition, she has been recognized for her efforts in the social sector.
